Where can I find row sections?

Available from Version 1.3.0
UABB comes with a huge template library. For better user experience, we have categorized all the section templates according to their purpose, viz. Call to action, Heading, Content, Team, Contact etc.
In order to be able to access these section templates, you have to install the category you wish to use from the Template Cloud.
Here is an article that will help you install your desired section category from the Template Cloud.
1. Make sure you have installed the desired category from the Template Cloud.
Go to Settings -> UABB -> Template Cloud -> Sections -> Install the category you wish to use.

 

 
2. Check the status of UABB Addon』s UI Design setting in WP Dashboard -> Settings -> UABB -> General Settings

If UABB Addon』s UI Design setting is enabled – You will find row section under Sections panel –

If UABB Addon』s UI Design setting is disabled – You will find row section under Add Content panel –

Note: In case you are using Beaver Builder 2.0, you』ll see the row sections added under the Row tab of the Page Builder.

GlotPress Basics

In a Post about Translating Ultimate Addon for Beaver Builder, we discussed how to download and use the already translated strings from the Glotpress project to your site.
In this article, we will be discussing on how you can contribute the translations to the project so that you and also everyone else can benefit from it.

The first step is to login if you already have an account on the Glotpress project, if not you can easily signup to the site.
Now select the language you want to translate – (example screenshot)
Click details in front of any string you want to translate – (screenshot)
Add your translation in the text box and click suggest new translation (screenshot)

 
After you have added new translation suggestions a moderator for this language will then approve the translations and these translations will be made available directly in the plugin after any language is 90% translated.

Installing and Importing Starter Templates

Creating a site right from scratch can be a pain. You need to come up with an idea, a design, content, images and a lot more. This takes a long long time. However, with Astra, you can save a lot of time by importing readymade sites we』ve created that can be tweaked a little and made into your own.
You can have a look at the beautiful library Astra has for Ready to Import Websites. Websites without any tag are FREE while websites tagged as 「Agency」 are premium.
When you choose Growth Bundle or Essential Bundle, you get access to websites tagged as 「Agency」 on Ready to Import Websites page. If you are using the Beaver Builder specific Essential Bundle, you will see only those created using Beaver Builder.
How Does that work?
Step 1: For accessing free websites, download the 「Starter Templates」 plugin from the WordPress repository. If you need access to websites tagged as 「Agency」, you will need to install the 「Astra Premium Sites」 plugin which comes with Growth Bundle or the Essential Bundle.

Step 2: Install the plugin as any normal WordPress plugin. Activate it.
Step 3: Once activated, you』ll find a new menu under appearance menu: Appearance -> Astra Sites
Step 4: Under this tab, you will find all the ready sites as shown below. The Essential Bundle users will see page builder specific website templates. ( i.e. Beaver Builder )
Note: The below screenshot is taken with the Growth Bundle key activated. In case of the Essential Bundle (with UABB), you』ll only see the Beaver Builder tab with sites built using Beaver Builder.

Step 5: Click on a site you wish to use. You will see a preview of the site with some additional details. You will also be prompted to install the plugins that are used in a site. Simply click on install and these plugins will get automatically installed on your website.
Step 6: Once you install & activate these, you can see the 「Import site」 button, by clicking on which you can import the site into your website.

Step 7: Click on 「Import this site」 button which will make your website, just like ours in a few seconds by importing some of the things as below from our server to your website –

All Posts
WordPress Menus
Customizer Settings
Settings of Required Plugins for the particular site.
Media files like images, etc.

Some Notes – 

Though not required, it is a good idea to import a site on a fresh WordPress installation. If you would like to reset your current WordPress installation to make it like a fresh, brand new website, you may use a plugin like this.

White Screen / Blank Screen / 500 Error After Installation

There are times when you come across an error as soon as you install a new plugin or theme on your website.
Following are a few possible reasons why you may see an error at such times –

WordPress Memory Limit

The memory allocated by your server for your site might get exhausted as soon as you install a new plugin. You can increase the WordPress memory limit as we』ve explained in this article.

Older Version of Beaver Builder Plugin

You have installed an older version of  the Beaver Builder plugin. Make sure you have installed the latest (1.8+) version of the Beaver Builder plugin.

Older Version of PHP

Your website hosting server is running on an older version of PHP. Versions below 5.4 are declared unsupported by PHP itself and have come to End Of Life. If your PHP version is older than 5.4, please contact your hosting provider and ask them for an upgrade. Most of the hosts will be able to get this done quickly.

Temporary Solution

To get your site working back again, you can deactivate some plugins from your site manually as explained in this article.

How do license upgrades work?

Upgrade to Lifetime:
Customers need to pay only the difference amount.
Example – If a user wants to upgrade from Ultimate Addons ($69 / Year) to Ultimate Addons ($249 / Lifetime), he will have to pay only $180 ($249 – $69)
That』s about it

Upgrade to Annual:
In case if you upgrade to annual license, the original date of license expiry is considered, regardless of the date of upgrade. The amount you will be charged will be based on the price difference and the time left in your current subscription before renewal.
Example: A customer purchased an annual license of Ultimate Addons ($69 / Year) on January 1, 2017. On July 1, 2017 the customer upgrades his license to Astra Growth Bundle ($249 / Year). The price difference is $180 and there are 6 months left in his current subscription period. The customer will pay $90 to upgrade. On January 1, 2018, the subscription will renew and the customer will pay the license renewal amount and own an active license key until January 1, 2019.
The expiration date of the license will not change; an upgraded license will still expire on the original expiration date whether prorated or not.

cURL error 51: SSL: No alternative certificate subject name matches target host name

If the SSL library installed on your server is outdated (OpenSSL/0.9.8b) you might come across this error while trying to download templates from our cloud. More details about the issue below:

The Problem

When the template cloud installed your site sends a request to our server, it goes through secure connections. These connections run through a firewall, which keeps our server safe from attacks such as DDoS. To be able to do that, we use a system called Server Name Indication (SNI). Every browser after IE6 supports this, and every major CURL version released after March 2008 supports this.
If your server is still using a software older than that, this issue will be obvious.

The Solution

Just ask your hosting provider to update OpenSSL library and you should be OK. The OpenSSL version used should be 1.0 or higher that supports SNI. You may share this article with your host.

Technical Background

To be able to use SNI, you need:

A version of CURL that supports it, at least 7.18.1. The CURL 7.18.1 was released on March 30th, 2008.
This version of CURL should be compiled against a library that supports SNI, usually OpenSSL 1.0 or higher as that enables TLS by default.

How to use Row Background Gradient?

Have you ever wanted to use the gradient effect for row backgrounds in your website? The Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder introduces this feature in version 1.6.0.
You can use this feature by following the steps mentioned below.
1. Open the Row settings window by clicking on the settings icon as shown in the image below.

 
2. Select Ultimate Gradient Option seen in the dropdown across the background type options.

 
3. After selecting Ultimate Gradient under background type, you will see a new section named Gradient. You can now change the gradient type, color and a lot more to make your row look beautiful.

 
If you are unable to see the Ultimate Gradient option under the background type options of row settings, make sure you have enabled this extension under Dashboard -> Settings -> UABB. Please refer to the article about enabling / disabling UABB modules. You can enable extensions too!

How to enable / disable Templates in UABB?

Deprecated From Version 1.3.0
The Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder comes with pre-designed templates that can be used within any page on your website.
In case, you wish to enable or disable these templates, you can do these in a few steps mentioned below.
1. Click on Page Builder seen under Settings

 
2. Click on UABB- Template Manager

 
3. You can Enable or Disable the Templates you wish to use or omit respectively.
 

4. Save Settings

How to Set Overlay Color on the Video Thumbnail on Mouse Hover?

Overlay color can be set for normal and hovered video.
The setting can be found under Style ( tab ) >  Content.
Overlay Color will display on normal video. While Overlay Hover Color color will display when you hover over a video.
